Wine and Olive Oil tasting

We can organize a presentation of the organic, locally produced extra virgin olive oil, followed by an amusing tasting of local wines.

Following that, we shall prepare local appetizers, salads and main dishes using organic seasonal products from the area and enjoy the meal with selected wines from the local vineyards.

About the area

Villa Diana and Luxury Apartment Diana are located in Kaštel Stari, City of Kaštela, in Split-Dalmatian County, with easy access to local beaches and town life, but equally offers a private and quiet oasis for our guests. Ideal for exploring the nearby ancient cities of Trogir, Split and Solin, islands (Hvar, Brač, Šolta) and National Parks (Krka, Kornati and Plitvice).

Kaštel Stari is one of those places where the spirit of authentic Dalmatia still lives. Explore the local cuisine, try the famous Dalmatian wine, visit the small local restaurants hidden in the surrounding villages and ancient towns, explore the local hiking trails, or enjoy silence and privacy.

Solin (lat. SalonaAncient Greek: Σαλώνα Salóna) is situated right northeast of Split. It developed on the location of the ancient city of Salona, which was the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia and the birthplace of Emperor Diocletian. Numerous archeological sites and many urban parks along the Jadro River are the area’s main attractions.

Klis (ital.: ClissaTurkishKilis) is located northeast of Solin and Split, around a mountain fortress bearing the same name.

During the Ottoman wars in Europe, an already existing Roman fortress on a nearby hill was expanded into Klis Fortress. It has had a significant strategic value throughout history because any inland force passing through Klis could easily reach the entire region of Split and Kaštela.

Split (ital.: Spalato) is Croatia’s second-largest city. Be sure to visit Diocletian’s Palace (a Unesco World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments), Split’s famous bars, restaurants, shops, museums and beaches, and feel the atmosphere of an ancient city with an urban vibe.

Trogir (Ancient Greek: Τραγύριον) is a remarkable example of urban continuity. The orthogonal street plan of this island settlement dates back to the Hellenistic period and successive rulers embellished it with many fine public and domestic buildings and fortifications. The outstanding Renaissance and Baroque buildings from the Venetian period complement its beautiful Romanesque churches.
